KemperSports will mange Mount Vintage Plantation Golf Club in North Augusta, S.C., located less than 20 miles from August National Golf Club, home of The Masters. KemperSports will implement staff training programs and enhance member social programming.
"KemperSports has the experience that we were looking for in a partner," Club representative Brad Hailey said in a news release. "We are confident that this partnership with KemperSports will benefit the club and its' members."
The Club has a 27-hole golf course designed by Tom Jackson. It includes the Chester Nine and Vintage Nine, both built in 2000. The Independent Nine was added in 2008. The Club is the centerpiece of the Mount Vintage Planation Community.
According to the Augusta Chronicle, the club faced financial turmoil over the past few years, filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last February. The Bank of Camden, which hired KemperSports, took over the course and reopened it this past April.
"We look forward to working with our team to improve member and guest service levels," KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner said in a news release. "Working with the ownership group our goal will be to maintain superb course conditions and grow the Club's programming."
