King Kamehameha Golf Club

Troon has been selected to manage King Kamehameha Golf Club in Maui, Hawaii.

As Maui’s only private 18-hole golf course, King Kamehameha Golf Club is a historic property featuring bi-coastal ocean views of both the north and south shores of the island and a historic clubhouse designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

Located in the foothills of the West Maui Mountains, the golf club is named after “the greatest king in the history of the Hawaiian Islands whose legacy includes unifying the islands into a peaceful and prosperous kingdom,” according to a news release.

Originally designed by Ted Robinson Sr. in 1991 and refreshed in 2005 by Ted Robinson, Jr., the course is designed with the surrounding nature in mind to create a pure golf experience with no adjacent homes or nearby traffic.

“King Kamehameha Golf Club is a special club in a unique and desirable destination,” said Mike Ryan, Senior Vice President, Troon Golf Operations, in a news release. “We are honored to have been selected by them and are confident that our management practices will contribute positively to the experience of the members and guests.”

In addition to King Kamehameha’s golf facility, the club also features elegant and casual dining venues and outdoor terraces.

The club’s golf shop also features an equipment alcove and a seating area overlooking the scenic 18th hole. Day passes are available for guests for $185, which includes golf and a cart.

“Troon’s impressive reputation is highly respected in the industry and we are confident their involvement will improve the overall experience at King Kamehameha,” said Kenny Kanzakim, the club owner’s representative. “Combining the outstanding amenities and unique offerings our club has to offer with the professional management and member programs of Troon, makes us excited about the opportunities that lay ahead.”

Headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., Troon is the world’s largest golf management company, with 238 18-hole equivalent golf courses in its portfolio. The company oversees operations at Troon Golf, Honours Golf and Troon Privé properties located in 36 states and 27 countries.
